Zepter’s success story begins in 1986, when the company founded its headquarters in Linz, Austria and its first production plant for the manufacturing of top-quality Masterpiece Cookware and tableware in Milan, Italy. The Masterpiece Cookware collection is still synonymous worldwide with unequivocal and long-lasting value, and the Menfi Industria factory in Milan has a production capacity of more than 1,000,000 units per year, making it the heartland and birthplace of the Zepter Empire.

In 1996, the Zepter Group branched out into the medical device market with the purchase of Swiss-based company, Bioptron AG, marking Zepter’s revolutionary entry into the world of medical light therapy. Once again, this proved to be a continuous success with over 3,000,000 sold devices ( by 2020) and many more satisfied users.

Since its incorporation, Bioptron has become a global brand that stands for innovative medical healthcare products, unrivalled in prevention, treatment and recovery in various medical conditions. We are particularly excited about the promising health benefits and healing potential that our latest Hyperlight innovations offer.

In 2018, Bioptron AG entered into a new sphere of quantum medicine and quantum optics – introducing to the wider public the ultimate Hyperlight System. BIOPTRON AG continues to invest in sophisticated research and new product development necessary to achieve optimal clinical effectiveness of light therapy treatments.

In 1996 Swiss company Intercosmetica Neuchâtel SA was incorporated into the Zepter Group. Based on 60 years of experience and the innovative, modern production line, Intercosmetica Neuchâtel laboratories offer complex and scientifically proven development of new effective skin care formulas. Soon after this strategic investment, the company headquarters moved to Switzerland. It has since continued to expand into new markets and actively invests in the latest technological developments.

The streak of successful additions and acquisitions continued. In 2012, ZEPTER purchased the most renowned German knife producer - FELIX Solingen GmbH. FELIX is a company with tradition, and one of the oldest knife manufacturers, producing cutlery since 1790. Karl Gustav Felix founded the company Gustav Felix Schneidwarenfabrik in 1843, establishing a two-centuries-long heritage of craftsmanship, manufacturing knives renowned for their extraordinary quality around the world. Zepter’s unique vision, superior quality and innovative products found a true match in the tradition and superior craftsmanship of Felix.

TFT Nano Centre was founded in 2018 as an extended arm of Bioptron AG to research, develop and manufacture intelligent nanomaterials for the needs of cosmetics, optics, pharmacy, medicine, food and other fields of biomedical engineering that contribute to the protection of human health. One of the main goals of our R&D is to understand the cell and its division. We are using AFM (Atomic Force Microscope) and MFM (Magnetic Force Microscope) for better understanding of these phenomena. Based on that knowledge, we are designing substance on nano-level, like 3HFWC, for improving the functionality of disordered cells and tissues.
